Accreditation connects assessment, education, scientific work and ethical values. A clear explanation identifies who assessed what, against which criteria and for what period. External recognition must be checked for each course, certificate or institution; it should never be inferred from a general description of WHML.ORG’s work.
Overview
Welcome to the accreditation section of the World Health, Medical and Life Sciences Organization (WHML.ORG). We work together to define and develop global standards in the fields of health, medicine, and life sciences. At WHML.ORG, we believe in the importance of establishing and maintaining global standards in these fields. As a non-profit organization, we dedicate our resources to education, research, and social benefit. Together with our members and partners, we strive to develop and implement internationally recognized standards. Our training and course programs are designed to ensure that professionals are informed about the latest standards and best practices. Our certified programs help participants enhance their competencies and advance their careers. Through our scientific journals and publications, we contribute to the body of knowledge by sharing current research and developments in health and life sciences. Our standards cover critical areas such as ethical principles, patient safety, research methodology, data management, and more. These standards, recognized at both national and international levels, improve the quality of healthcare services and ensure the reliability of scientific research.
About accreditation
WHML.ORG’s accreditation section sets out a quality-assessment model for educational institutions and programmes in health, medicine and life sciences. It connects the organization’s non-profit focus on education, research and social benefit with the expertise of professors, academics, scientists, health professionals and volunteers. The model describes an institutional assessment process; it does not by itself establish statutory accreditation powers or recognition by another awarding or regulatory body.
The assessment model aims to support quality assurance and continuous improvement through explicit educational criteria, evidence review and follow-up. International benchmarks can inform those criteria when their source and scope are identified. Students and professionals need the actual assessment report and any documented recognition to understand what an evaluation establishes.
Accreditation regulations
The WHML.ORG accreditation regulations include the standards and criteria established for institutions and programs providing education in the fields of health, medicine, and life sciences. These regulations provide a comprehensive framework for assessing and improving the quality of education.
Accreditation process
Application
educational institutions and programs submit an accreditation application to WHML.ORG.
Preliminary review
applications are subject to a preliminary review for compliance with basic criteria.
Detailed evaluation
our expert evaluation team conducts a detailed review of the institution or program.
On-site visit
the evaluation team visits the institution’s facilities and learning environment.
Reporting
the evaluation results are presented to the institution in a detailed report.
Decision
the WHML.ORG accreditation committee reviews the report and makes the accreditation decision.
Continuous monitoring
accredited institutions are periodically reviewed to ensure quality continuity.
Benefits of accreditation
Recognition
an assessment can make an institution’s quality processes more visible. Recognition outside WHML.ORG depends on the relevant authority or institution and must be documented; it is not guaranteed internationally.
Quality assurance
documented criteria and findings help students, professionals and institutions understand educational strengths and improvement needs.
Continuous improvement
the accreditation process helps institutions continuously improve.
Collaboration opportunities
our international network promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing among institutions and programs.
Education and certification
The educational framework links quality assessment with academic programmes, courses, current knowledge and good practice in health and life sciences. Any certificate must identify its issuer, requirements and scope, with external recognition stated only where documented. The demonstration’s account and package approval process controls access to protected learning and certificate areas; it is not accreditation. Certificate records appear only when an administrator issues them, after the required account approval and administrator-confirmed package payment.
Scientific research and publishing
Scientific research and publishing are central to the exchange of knowledge. Institutions and programmes can prepare and submit research for consideration by an appropriate journal, helping researchers contribute to the wider scientific community. Submission is subject to the journal’s independent editorial and peer-review requirements; assessment or accreditation does not guarantee publication.
International and national collaborations
WHML.ORG collaborates with international and national organizations worldwide to promote and develop accreditation standards. These collaborations help raise the quality standards of educational institutions and programs in different countries.
Volunteering and social contribution
Our volunteers play an important role in accreditation processes and educational programs. By sharing their expertise and experience, they help improve the quality of institutions and programs. Our volunteer activities aim to provide social benefit and promote excellence in healthcare.
Accreditation and ethical values
WHML.ORG’s accreditation processes are based on ethical principles and the highest professional standards. Transparency, fairness, and impartiality form the foundation of our evaluation processes. This ensures that institutions and programs are assessed fairly and that accreditation decisions are based on a reliable foundation.
Looking to the future
At WHML.ORG, we aim to continuously update and improve our accreditation standards to adapt to changing needs and technological developments. By establishing accreditation standards in new areas such as digital education, distance learning, and innovative teaching methods, we are shaping the future of health and life sciences education.
How can you contribute?
Educational institutions and programmes can enquire about the assessment framework, its criteria and any documented recognition. Membership enquiries, education and research participation, and volunteer contributions provide separate ways to engage. Each activity has its own eligibility and approval process; membership alone does not confer accreditation, international recognition or access to all programmes.
“WHML.ORG – the global address for accreditation in health and science, raising quality together.”
