WHML.ORG brings a broad scientific community into one conversation. Our institutional purpose links education, research communication and professional exchange, with human dignity and scientific integrity informing the way that work is described and developed.
Health questions reach beyond individual disciplines. Researchers, educators, practitioners and community contributors bring different forms of knowledge. WHML.ORG’s role is to create a setting in which these perspectives can meet, challenge assumptions and contribute to better informed work.
An institution is understood through the people who contribute and the responsibilities they hold. Our membership, leadership, advisory and secretariat pages explain distinct parts of that structure. Scientific advice, operational coordination and organizational decisions require clear ownership and an accountable record.
Respect for human rights, ethical conduct and careful communication connect the organization’s different activities. These values matter when a learning resource is prepared, a collaboration is proposed or a research finding is shared. They also require openness about uncertainty and appropriate protection of personal information.
Our history provides the background to the organization’s development; our relationships and partnerships describe the basis for cooperation. A clear institutional identity allows members and prospective collaborators to understand our purpose, distinguish different roles and ask informed questions before taking part.
