WHML.ORG’s medical-science framework includes fields such as internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics and related specialties. These disciplines connect biological knowledge with clinical investigation. Their shared scientific responsibility is to explain how observations were made and what conclusions the evidence can reasonably support.

Surgical interventions are performed for the treatment of diseases and injuries. Surgical specialties range from general surgery to neurosurgery.

Internal Medicine

A medical branch that diagnoses and treats diseases of internal organs. It includes subspecialties such as cardiology, gastroenterology, and nephrology.

Pediatrics

A medical branch dealing with child health and diseases. It covers a wide range from newborn care to adolescent health.

Oncology

A medical branch dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. It has subspecialties such as medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology.

Psychiatry

A medical branch dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses. It includes diseases such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.

Dentistry

Focuses on protecting, diagnosing, and treating oral, dental, and gum health. Dentists treat dental caries, gum diseases, and other oral health problems.

Public Health

Aims to protect and improve community health. Public health professionals conduct research, develop policies, and run education programs to prevent the spread of diseases and promote healthy lifestyles.
